A few days ago, the MDGOP put out a mailer featuring Democrat Delegate Norm Conway (District 38B) wearing a ski mask and attacking him for various political stances he’s taken.
Of course – or, rather, as fate would have it – Conway was defended as being a nice guy, a gentleman and (gasp!) a statesman by members of both parties. Never in my 33 years in politics have I ever seen such a big load of crap manufactured out of nothing. A few folks even went so far as to say that the MDGOP was trying to paint Conway as a terrorist.
The man in the mailer was wearing a ski-mask, people. A damned ski-mask, which, as far as I am aware, is not part of your everyday beheader’s choice of clothing.
And then, came tonight – in which Norm Conway made all of those blithering idiots who’d defended him as a nice guy, a gentleman and a statesman look just like that – blithering idiots.
No, Norm Conway didn’t behead anyone…
But, what he did do was park in a handicapped space while at tonight’s Coastal Association of Realtors debate, where I’m hoping that his opponent, Delmar Mayor Carl Anderton, who’s running against Conway for this delegate seat, took it to his puffy white ass.
As for how I heard about this, not being anywhere near where the debate took place tonight, I was perusing my Facebook wall when I saw a picture under the heading: “Norm Conway was apparently handicapped at tonight’s debates.” That sentence was over THIS picture of Conway’s car prepping to leave – or having just arrived at the debate, or whatever.
(Funny, but I don’t see any handicapped tag – other than the MD Delegate tag)
I then had some back and forth with the photographer (who didn’t want to be named) and s/he assured me that yes, THAT was Conway’s car.
Okay, now you tell me: What kind of “nice guy”…” or “gentleman” or “statesman” who is not handicapped parks in a handicapped spot? And, why? Well, actually, since he doesn’t have a handicapped tag, the “why” doesn’t matter.
It is precisely THAT type of arrogance that this geriatric bozo, Norm Conway, displayed tonight that is way too typical of our elected representatives. I can hear Conway now: But, it was raining (Boo Hoo) But, I’m 72 years old! (Again…Boo Hoo). I don’t care. If you’re too old to park in a non-handicapped space, you’re too old to be running for re-election. And, if you’re afraid of getting a little rain on you, that means you’re likely a witch and may start melting…which also may disqualify you from running for delegate.
Now, you arrogant, piece of dung – pay the $50 fine I’d have been hit with if I had parked in a handicapped spot.
And, if you live in District 38B and vote to send this asswipe back to Annapolis, then you can expect a continuation of precisely this type of arrogance. This isn’t just about some ancient elected official who parked illegally. This goes to the root of the problem in which Conway’s Arrogance to flip the middle finger to handicapped folks everywhere and to flout and scoff at the very laws he and others of his “Democratic Delegate for life” crowd helped create and vote for.
Damn!
Hopefully, any handicapped people out there didn’t need to park in that spot in order to watch the debate tonight.
